"Inscript Keyboard for Malayalam in Windows Operating System", which has to be downloaded and installed, is a better software to get proper chillaksharams than the "Malayalam" available by default in Windows 7.
Malayalam is not active by default in Windows. You need to enable it. But install the required softwares first.

How to install Inscript Keyboard for Malayalam in Windows Operating System:
Download the Software from above links >> Open the folder containing the downloaded Zip file "Win-inscript" >> Unzip >> Open the folder Inscript >> Double Click on the file "Setup" >> Allow to Install
How to install Malayalam Fonts
Download the Font Anjali Old Lipi from above links >> Open the folder containing the downloaded font >> Right click >> Click Install >> Allow to install
Type Malayalam and English alternatively anywhere using Bilingual Keyboard. Applicable for all Indian Languages - Inscript Keyboard for Malayalam in Windows Operating System - Perfect Chillaksharams, Nta, Koottaksharams etc

DeleteUse Character Map to input symbols or if you are using keyboard shortcuts, switch over the keyboard to English to input. Malayalam symbols? Can you elaborate?

ReplyDeleteIf you are using Windows, learning to type by blind method can be tried using the on screen keyboard available in Windows.
Type on screen keyboard in the search box in start menu to bring it on screen.
Rest your left middle finger on ് and your right middle finger on ക to start.

I can't install Inscript malayalam. It shows only malayalam. please help me
ReplyDeleteActivating only one malayalam keyboard will show only Malayalam in Language bar. Adding one more, eg Madhavan Inscript keyboard from chillaksharam.blogspot.in, will show inscript keyboard in language bar.
